The Manoel Threater has been at the center of Malta's Artistic soul since it was
built more then 275 years ago by one of the Greatest Grand Masters of the Order
of St John. Today it is still going strong and hosting many theatrical attraction

Unlike many other catering concerns, Island Caterers Limited does not have a long
history. Infact the company was set up in October 1992. The growth experienced since
then has been phenomenal and to date the company has catered at over 5,000 events
varying in size and style, feeding a total of well over 2,000,000 people.

The Malta Council for Culture and The Arts (MCCA) was legally set up, in 2002, “to
encourage and promote culture within a wide perspective of socio-economic activity.”
Among the duties it is bound to perform, the Council is expected to “encourage the
exploration, development and expression of personal artistic potential” as well
as “promote participation, inclusiveness, equality and the freedom of artistic expression,
pluralism and cultural identity.”

Culture 2000 is a Community Programme established for seven years (2000-2006) with
a total budget of 236,5 million euro. Each year Culture 2000 provides grants to
cultural cooperation projects in the fields of Performing Arts, Visual Arts, Cultural
Heritage, Books and Reading, and Translation
